Find the right paper or pad for whatever medium you’re using. Jot down your initial thoughts and ideas with drawing and sketching papers. Transfer your visions to a new medium or surface with graphite paper. Take your paper with you in a hardcover sketchbook. Experiment with different mediums by using mixed media paper or use watercolor paper for wet surfaces that can withstand multiple washes. Ensure that your drawing doesn’t bleed onto other sheets with marker paper. Whatever your work is, there’s a surface ideal for you.
