Well, this did keep paints from drying out. And it is super easy to clean. But my 16 year old thought it would ALSO be for carrying your paint to art class once mixed. So that didn't turn out well. But the rest of it worked as intended and it didn't leak!
This is such a wondering watercolor airtight storage palette. I have been trying to get into painting again but with two small children I find myself stopping and going quiet often. This features a lid that snaps shut with ease and keeps my watercolors just how I left them.
There are 24 slanted wells which provide a sufficient amount of space to hold my paint. From there you can use the two larger middle areas for mixing.
There is so much space for a variety of colors and larger areas for mixing colors if needed. It's so nice to be able to be pick up where you left off if you were unable to finish a project in one sitting. Just close the cover and it will be ready and waiting when you have time again. Cleaning is simple with it's removable inserts. Really great storage Palette!
What a huge difference, to be able to keep your mixed colors wet overnight or even just for a few hours. This is a very simple, very effective palette that's easy to use, easy to store, and easy to clean. It's got more wells than I ever need, which is a great feeling -- never running out of wells. Any watercolorist needs this or at least something very much like this, and KingArt is a good, reliable, midpriced brand.
I've been using this palette for acrylic paints and it works great. It forms a nice air-tight seal so that I can leave my paints overnight without them drying up too much (I wouldn't for more than a day or two, though). The wells are big, and work well for the acrylics but might be too big for watercolors (I guess it depends on the project). Overall, I am very please with this palette!
