This is a really nice set of colored pencils. I got them for my daughter. She's she can be hard on her stuff, but they've held up very well. The pigments are fairly vibrant. They sharpen well. The metal case is very sturdy and easy to open and close.
I used these twelve colored pencil in an adult coloring book, and they worked really well. The coloring book had small, highly detailed lines, and these pencils had really vibrant color that made working the coloring more fun than intimidating. The container is a nice-looking tin; the pencils have a sleek, modern look. I do not know, price-wise, how they compare to other pencils, as I obtained them as a free product. But I would recommend them to any casual colorer.
These pencils are rich, vibrant colors that are a joy to use. I use these in my journal to spice it up. Recommended.
My daughter said she really liked these unique colors but she did say that some of the colors were actually represented in other larger colored pencil sets. She went on to say that the soft cores were different enough from the cores of other colored pencils that they did not work well on paper mixed with others. Overall though she said these were still a four star for "like".
This set of 12 thin colored pencils comes in a nice tin, tho it's slightly difficult to open. The pencils are thinner than other colored pencils I have, so they probably won't last as long. Also note that one of the 12 colors is white, which is more like getting 11 colors. (I have yet to ever find a use for a white pencil, but that might just be me!)
The actual colors are okay, as you can see from the photo of an example I colored, but the yellow is not as bright as I'd expected, and the colors did NOT blend well at all. I would definitely not call these artist quality.
