KINGART® Pro Artist Soft Pastels, Set of 24 Unique Colors

My teen daughter has enjoyed the KINGART set of pastels. It has 24 bright colors so it offers a pretty good start for an amateur artist. They blend well and are highly pigmented. They were kind of dry and they didn’t go on the surface very smoothly. The come in a convenient storage tin. They’re fun to experiment with and create fun and unique artwork.

Good for beginners. This product has a pleasing range of colors. The pastels are nicely sized and not too chalky. Unfortunately due to this characteristic they do not blend as well as some professional brands. Manufacturer info does not tell you any information about the pigments that are used (even the exact color names; this information is needed when you a professional artist). Without this knowledge improper mixing can result in "muddy" colors.

For someone who is just starting out and just wants to make a pretty picture, this will do just fine.

Quality art supplies are notoriously expensive, and understandably so. This set of pastels is a good starter set for beginner artists or anyone who'd like to play around with pastels. It is a decent 24 pieces set with many colors at a really good price for art supplies. The pastels themselves give vibrant colors and smudge pretty well. Of course, you can spend a LOT more on much higher end pastels. This set is to be considered a student set, and a beginner student at that.

The quality is really pretty good and this set would make a great gift to any young artist. We enjoy having it in the homeschool room for art supplies. They're fun for everyone and a great medium that should be explored by all at least at some point. I love pastels.

We really like art kits. I would much prefer them doing something than watching something. It is so important for them to be able to use their creativity.

It is nice because they can spend the time doing it. They are excited when they make something themselves. They love to make new art.

This is a great activity for a rainy day or a day when your child is sick or when you are just stuck at home. It is a good way to keep a child busy.

I thought it was age appropriate. The children really liked how their creations turned out.

I feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift.

This is a really handsome set of pastels. My 12 year old is a budding artist and loved them. I was pretty impressed with the packaging. The pastels aren't exactly fragile but do require some care to keep from breaking. The packaging keeps them in place in foam storage and works really well.
