Find the right paper or pad for whatever medium you’re using. Jot down your initial thoughts and ideas with drawing and sketching papers. Transfer your visions to a new medium or surface with graphite paper. Take your paper with you in a hardcover sketchbook. Experiment with different mediums by using mixed media paper or use watercolor paper for wet surfaces that can withstand multiple washes.
